Frequent Asked Questions

Every great image starts with a great experience. Find answers to common questions about our sessions, creative services, booking policies, and how we bring your vision to life.

4. Can I reschedule or cancel my session?

Written notice is required at least 48 hours before your scheduled session for cancellations or rescheduling requests. Booking retainers are generally nonrefundable, subject to applicable law and the terms of your agreement. Requests made with less notice may be subject to availability and the applicable booking terms.

5. What happens if the weather affects my outdoor session?

Weather conditions may require a session to be rescheduled, relocated, or adjusted for safety and image quality. Kaeproductions will communicate available options based on the circumstances, the type of session, and the applicable agreement.

6. Do you photograph events and weddings?

Yes, event and wedding photography or videography may be available depending on the project, date, coverage needs, and package. These projects can require additional planning, coverage time, equipment, editing, and production coordination. Availability, deliverables, and estimated turnaround times will be confirmed before booking.

Payments & Pricing

7. How much do photography and videography services cost?

Pricing depends on the service, selected package, session length, location, deliverables, and any requested add-ons. Please review the current package details or contact Kaeproductions for a quote tailored to your project.

8. What is a booking retainer?

A booking retainer, sometimes called a deposit, is the payment required to reserve your date and time. Unless otherwise specified in your agreement or required by law, the retainer is nonrefundable.

9. When is the remaining balance due?

The remaining balance is generally due one to two days before the scheduled session, unless your invoice or signed agreement specifies a different payment schedule. Event, wedding, and custom production projects may have separate payment milestones.

10. Are additional services available?

Yes! Depending on the project, available add-ons may include additional photo retouching, custom video recaps, short-form social content, behind-the-scenes (BTS) reels, drone footage, extended event coverage, and other customized deliverables. Additional fees and editing time may apply. Requested services should be confirmed in writing before production.

Preparing for Your Session

11. What should I wear for my photoshoot?

Choose clothing that reflects your personality and the look you want to achieve. Coordinated colors, well-fitting outfits, and thoughtful accessories can help create a polished result. For themed or branding sessions, wardrobe choices can also support your overall visual concept.

12. Can you help with posing and directing?

Absolutely! Guidance with posing, positioning, expression, and movement is part of creating a comfortable photography experience. Whether you're experienced in front of the camera or need direction throughout the session, I'll help you work toward natural, confident images.

13. Can I bring props, outfit changes, or personal items?

Yes, when appropriate for your package and session plan. Please discuss larger props, multiple outfit changes, special equipment, and elaborate setups in advance so adequate time and space can be arranged. Additional setup time or production costs may apply.

14. How should I prepare for a branding or promotional session?

Think about your brand's message, audience, colors, wardrobe, products, and the types of images or videos you need. A shot list, mood board, or reference images can help guide the creative direction. For commercial projects, please identify any intended uses, platforms, formats, and deadlines before the shoot.

Photos, Editing & Delivery

15. When will I receive my photographs?

The initial online gallery is generally delivered within 48 hours of the photography session, depending on the package and current workload. This initial gallery delivery does not mean every image will have detailed retouching completed.

Final delivery timelines may vary based on the editing queue, the number of images, the complexity of the project, and other scheduled commitments. Events, weddings, and projects involving extensive editing may require additional time.

16. Will all of my photographs be included in the gallery?

Not necessarily. The number of images delivered depends on your selected package, the session type, and the usable photographs produced. Your gallery will include the selected images covered by your package. Duplicate frames, test shots, missed-focus images, and other unusable photographs may be excluded.

17. What is the difference between light editing and detailed retouching?

Light editing involves general adjustments that help create a consistent, polished look across images. Depending on the package, this may include exposure, brightness, contrast, white balance, color temperature, cropping, straightening, and color styling.

Detailed retouching involves more specific, image-by-image work. This may include blemish removal, targeted skin adjustments, stray hair or lint removal, reducing distractions, teeth or eye enhancements, advanced object removal, composites, or requested clothing and body reshaping.

Detailed retouching is not automatically included in every package. Please review your package description or ask before booking if you need these services.

18. How long does photo retouching take?

Detailed photo retouching generally takes approximately 7–14 days or longer. The actual timeframe depends on the number of images, the level of detail requested, current workload, and the editing queue.

Events, weddings, and larger galleries may require additional time because of the volume of images and the complexity of the editing process. Your estimated delivery date will be communicated based on the scope of your project and the production schedule.

19. Can I request additional edits after receiving my gallery?

Additional edits may be available depending on your request and package. Minor adjustments, detailed retouching, composites, object removal, and other image-specific changes may incur additional fees. Please describe the changes you would like so the scope, cost, and estimated completion time can be confirmed before the work begins.

Additional edits may also extend the original delivery timeline, depending on workload and the editing queue.

20. Will my gallery be watermarked?

Watermarking depends on your selected package. Some galleries may display the Kaeproductions logo, a watermark, or a copyright notice. Whether the logo or watermark appears on preview images, final downloadable images, or both depends on the package and deliverables you purchase.

Please review your package details or ask before booking if you need clarification about how your gallery and final images will be presented.

21. How will I receive my photographs?

Photographs are generally delivered through an online gallery or another delivery method specified in your package. Your gallery will include instructions for viewing and accessing the images and, where applicable, downloading them. Delivery options may vary by package.

22. How long will my online gallery remain available?

Gallery access and availability depend on the package and the delivery terms provided for your session. Please download and back up your images promptly after delivery rather than relying on long-term online storage.

If a gallery expires and you need it restored, re-upload or recovery may be available at the photographer's discretion and may involve an additional fee.

23. Can I request my gallery to be re-uploaded?

A complimentary re-upload may be available for one gallery, at the photographer's discretion, subject to file availability and the circumstances of the request. Additional recovery or re-upload requests may incur a fee. Long-term storage is not guaranteed, so please maintain your own backups.

24. How long does video editing take?

Video turnaround depends on the type of video, length of the finished edit, amount of raw footage, graphics, sound design, color grading, requested revisions, current workload, and the editing queue.

The following are general estimated turnaround ranges, not guaranteed delivery dates:

  • Short-form content — Reels, TikToks, and Shorts: Typically 24–48 hours for straightforward edits, depending on footage readiness, complexity, workload, and scheduling.

  • Standard or long-form videos — approximately 10–20 minutes: Typically 2–7 business days, depending on the editing requirements and production queue.

  • Corporate projects and promotional films: Typically 1–3 weeks, particularly when custom graphics, color grading, sound design, and review rounds are involved.

  • Documentary-style or feature projects: May require 1–2 months or longer due to extensive footage review, storytelling, production complexity, and revisions.

These are planning estimates. Actual delivery may take longer for weddings, events, multi-camera projects, large footage volumes, advanced effects, multiple deliverables, or projects requiring additional revisions. A project-specific estimated delivery date will be provided whenever possible.

25. What is the turnaround time for BTS reels, drone BTS videos, and drone event coverage?

Turnaround depends on the type of coverage, the final deliverables included in your package, the amount of footage captured, current workload, and the editing queue.

  • Short BTS reels or social-media clips: May be delivered within 24–48 hours when the edit is straightforward and footage is ready.

  • Edited drone BTS videos: May require several business days, depending on the amount of footage, stabilization, color grading, music, and editing requested.

  • Drone event coverage: May require several business days to a few weeks, depending on event length, footage volume, the number of final edits, and whether the project includes a highlight film or multiple social-media videos.

  • Combined photography, BTS, drone, and event packages: May require a longer production timeline because multiple types of content must be reviewed, edited, and prepared for delivery.

All estimates are subject to workload, the editing queue, project complexity, and any agreed-upon review or revision process. Drone services are also subject to weather, safe operating conditions, location restrictions, and applicable flight requirements.

26. What can affect my photo or video delivery date?

Several factors can influence the timeline, including:

  • The number of images or amount of raw footage.

  • The complexity of retouching, color grading, graphics, or visual effects.

  • Multi-camera synchronization, sound design, and advanced editing.

  • Wedding or event coverage with extensive footage.

  • The number of deliverables requested, including social-media versions, BTS content, drone footage, and highlight films.

  • Requested revisions and the time needed for client feedback.

  • Current workload, the editing queue, and previously scheduled projects.

  • File transfers, technical issues, weather, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Editing time is different from turnaround time. A project may require only a few hours of hands-on editing but still take longer to deliver because of the full production schedule, review process, workload, and other commitments.

Please note: All turnaround times provided are estimates, not guaranteed deadlines, unless a specific delivery date is confirmed in writing. Kaeproductions will communicate an estimated timeframe based on the project scope and current production schedule.

Copyright & Image Usage

27. Who owns the copyright to my photographs and videos?

Unless otherwise agreed in a written contract or required by applicable law, Kaeproductions retains copyright ownership of the photographs and videos created. Purchasing a session or receiving digital files does not automatically transfer copyright.

Your package or written agreement will explain the personal-use permissions or other usage rights included with your purchase.

28. Will my purchased photographs have the Kaeproductions logo or watermark?

That depends on your package. Some packages may include images with the Kaeproductions logo, watermark, or copyright marking, while others may provide final downloadable images without a visible watermark.

Please check the package description and booking agreement for the exact deliverables. The presence or absence of a visible watermark does not determine who owns the copyright.

29. Can I print, share, or post my photographs?

Personal printing, sharing, and social-media use depend on the usage rights included with your package or written agreement. Please follow any applicable image-use restrictions, credit requirements, and watermark instructions.

Commercial, promotional, resale, or other business uses may require additional permission or licensing. Please contact Kaeproductions if you are unsure whether a particular use is permitted.

30. Can Kaeproductions use my photographs or videos for marketing?

Images and videos may be considered for portfolio, website, social-media, or other promotional use only when permitted by the applicable agreement, model release, authorization, and law. Marketing use is not automatically authorized just because a client books a session or receives a gallery.

Additional care is taken with images involving minors, including obtaining appropriate parent or guardian authorization for promotional use where required.

31. Can I opt out of promotional use of my images?

Please communicate your preferences before the session and review any applicable model release or promotional consent form. Where consent is required, you may decline promotional use without assuming that your booking itself grants Kaeproductions permission to publish your images. Any specific consent or withdrawal requests will be handled according to the applicable agreement and law.

32. What if I need an accommodation for my session?
